  • I have Multiple Sclerosis and summer heat and humidity is a known aggrevant to MS. It makes most of us depressed, sleep more, highly fatigued, our thinking slows and we have trouble moving and feeling things.

  • I know most of y'all don't like Walmart and are trashing it in this forum, but consistently over the years, WalMart and the dollar stores have helped me meet my budget and open up money for other things that were badly needed to be purchased.

  • Lubbock has only had about 1.5 inches of precip since Nov. The only thing that saved us from this being much worse is that we had a huge record precip amount last year. Global warming...nah, just a good, old fashioned High Pressure Dome over Texas, OKlahoma and New Mexico. Happened in 1980.

  • I have a 52 y/o brother who is currently dying of a glioblastoma that was centered behind the ear on the side he used to talk on the cellphone with. He was a heavy cellphone user and is now paralyzed down one side of his body. I don't know the cause, but he was constantly talking on his cell phone.

  • I think people who live in tornado alley can feel the storm engine revving up. And speaking of the Collie, the horses in the stables behind my apartment complex seem to be able to feel when storms will be coming. Even before the clouds come in, they spin and kick and rear up.

  • Global warming or no global warming - hot, dry winds will blow out of the west from the Rockies across the US Great Plains. And moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will blow south to north and or southeast to northwest into the Great Plains and Midwest. Dry air tries to sink. Moist air tries to rise.
